TruNativ has raised $30 million in fresh funding led by OrbiMed Advisors, giving the nutrition startup fresh firepower to expand its product portfolio, strengthen distribution, and take its clean-label offerings to more consumers in India and beyond.

Not too long ago, protein powders and health supplements were largely seen as products meant for gym enthusiasts and athletes.

Today, they're finding a place in everyday kitchens and TruNativ wants to be at the center of that shift.

The Mumbai-based nutrition startup has raised $30 million in a fresh funding round led by healthcare-focused investment firm OrbiMed Advisors. The round includes both new capital and the purchase of shares from some early investors, marking another milestone in the company's growth journey.

Founded in 2019 by mother-son duo Mamta Malhotra and Pranav Malhotra, TruNativ has built its brand around a simple idea: make clean, science-backed nutrition a part of everyday life. From protein supplements and sugar alternatives to gut-health products and functional foods, the company has steadily expanded beyond niche fitness categories to appeal to a wider audience.

The newly raised capital will help TruNativ deepen its offline presence, broaden its product portfolio, and invest in research and development. The startup is also looking to strengthen its ingredient business while expanding its footprint across international markets.

The timing couldn't be better.

Indian consumers are becoming increasingly conscious about preventive healthcare, clean ingredients, and healthier lifestyles. As wellness moves from being a trend to a long-term habit, startups operating in the category are attracting growing investor interest.

For TruNativ, the latest round isn't just about adding money to the balance sheet.

It's validation that nutrition is no longer a specialized category it is becoming part of everyday living.

And as more Indians rethink what goes into their meals, TruNativ is betting that healthy choices will become less of a lifestyle statement and more of a daily routine.
